Meet Tony Ordaz

Navy veteran, founder of JunkFit Hauling, and usually the guy who answers when you call.

From the Navy to Glendora

I'm Tony Ordaz, and I started JunkFit Hauling. Before the truck and the trailer, I served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Boxer out of San Diego. The Navy gave me the things I still run this business on: discipline, a real work ethic, and the habit of showing up on time and not stopping until the job is done.

Coming home and finding my footing again wasn't easy. Going back to school to study psychology is a big part of how I made sense of it, and somewhere in there I decided I wanted to build something of my own. Junk removal fit. It's physical, it's honest, and you can see the results the same day.

Today I run JunkFit out of Glendora, right on the Covina border, and I still hold every job to that same Navy standard.

Why a Psychology Student Runs a Junk Removal Company

Here's something you don't usually hear from a hauling company. I earned my bachelor's in psychology at Vanguard University, and I'm now in the Master's in Clinical Psychology program at Azusa Pacific, training to become a licensed marriage and family therapist.

That might sound like an odd match with junk removal. It isn't. A lot of what we do isn't really about the junk. I've stood in garages where someone says, "I know I need to let this go, I just can't." I've cleared out storage units full of a late spouse's belongings. That stuff is heavy in a way that has nothing to do with its weight.

Studying psychology taught me to notice that, and to handle it with patience instead of a stopwatch.

What That Means When We Show Up

When my crew pulls up, we're not just there to fill a truck. We're there for someone who has finally decided to let something go, and that decision might have taken months. So we don't rush you. Need a minute? Take the minute. Want to go through a box one more time? Go ahead. There's no judgment here about how much there is or how long it's been sitting.

We'll still work fast and haul heavy. We just do it with a little more respect for what your stuff means to you.

Two Veterans, One Standard

My business partner Miguel and I are both military veterans, and it shows up in more than our work ethic. We also retire worn American flags for free, folded with honor and delivered to a local Legion or VFW post for a proper ceremony.
